Closing FIPSE Banquet and Dance
Wednesday 19:00 - 22:00 +
The Gala Banquet, on the last evening, serves as the closing event, celebrating the conclusion of the three-day meeting full of intense and productive presentations and discussions about the most important open problems in Process Systems Engineering. It will take place at Thalassa Restaurant. It will start at 19:00, and it is always bound to last until the last participant has been left with no energy to party anymore. The buffet-style food choices will be innumerable. Live music of Greek and International songs will energize everyone. Such a dinner cannot end without a demonstration by all FIPSE participants of their just-acquired expertise in Greek dancing expertise.
Greek Dances – Demonstration and audience performance
Every banquet in Greece must end with dancing. At the Wednesday Gala Banquet, there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to demonstrate their dancing talents. Live music will motivate all participants to dance to international and Greek tunes. Greek traditional dances, like Kalamatianos (from nearby Kalamata), Sirtaki (from Crete), or Zempekiko, will be part of the program. Seasoned past FIPSE attendees will motivate the newcomers to practice their dancing skills, which might become a … registration prerequisite for future FIPSE meetings.
