As it has become the custom since the first FIPSE, there will be a cultural tour on Sunday, June 16, before the conference starts. Participants are encouraged to arrive a day early and enjoy a delightful visit to the charming site if Ancient Olympia, where the Olympic Games were born in 776 BC. They were a series of athletic competitions among representatives of city-states and were one of the Panhellenic Games of Ancient Greece. They were held at the Panhellenic religious sanctuary of Olympia in honor of Zeus, and the Greeks gave them a mythological origin. For more information, see HERE.
The tour departs from the conference resort at 8:30 a.m. and returns for lunch at 2:00 p.m. It includes a visit to the archeological site under the guidance of an expert licensed guide. Including all entrance fees, the price is € 80 per person. The discounted price for children 18 years old or younger is € 40. Children 4 and younger are free.
